We are very pleased to offer our wine direct from the winery to you!
It's not easy to know when the Filippo Gallino family first started producing
wine, as the origins are lost in time. Perhaps the Barbera and the
Nebbiolo had already been produced before Stefano Gallino was even born
(1856).
Wine business wasn't the principal activity in that epoch as there are
other fruits like peaches that are equally important. In Roero, the town of Canale is famously
known for the "Fiera del pesco" (Peach Fair) which takes place every year, in the
last week of July (since 1908). Peaches can be seen on every corner of
the streets, and they are now served with our Birbet, a sweet, red sparkling wine beloved in our area. We produce wines from varieties such as Barbera, Brachetto, Nebbiolo, and Arneis.
All of our wines offered here have been
properly imported, carefully handled, and are available for immediate
shipment directly from our U.S. stocks. We hope you enjoy our wines!
