Ogier has remained a family winery since 1859. Today it is the oldest and largest wine cellar in the historic community of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, which was the summer residence of the Popes from 1309 to 1378. Now Ogier has capitalized on its special access to these unique wine-growing estates and has produced Les Moirets (meaning “shimmering”), a name derived from the vision of the Rhone looking down from the town of Roquemaure. Les Moirets expresses the power and personality of Cotes-du-Rhone and also the unique and uncompromising winemaking tradition of Ogier.
