Argie Andes offers wines that are true ambassadors of Argentina’s terroir. Renowned winemaker Hector Durigutti produces varietals that are symbolic of Argentina’s deeply rooted wine culture. Argie wines are carefully crafted to express the essence of each of their unique, old-vine vineyards and to celebrate the natural intensity of the fruit flavors typical of each varietal. Argie Andes Bonarda is harvested from two vineyards in Mendoza: Lujan de Cuyo’s Ugarteche Vineyard, planted in 1923, at 3,400 ft. elevation, featuring stark and stony soil; and San Martin’s Montecaseros vineyard, planted in 1958, at 2400 ft. elevation, with sandy, loamy soil. The climate in these two regions is semi-desert with moderate winds, with an average annual rainfall of just 8 inches and 300 sunny days and open skies per year.
