We are very pleased to offer our wine direct from the winery to you!
In 2002, Francesco Mariani and Andrea Mattioli acquired an old 40 acre farm in Turri, near Montefalco, the premier wine-growing area of Umbria. The farm buildings were refurbished as a state-of-the-art winery, named Raina , and 33 acres were planted in the classic Montefalco varieties: Sagrantino, Sangiovese and Merlot. Enologist Tiziano Vistali, with long experience in the region, assisted in the making of these authentic indigenous wines. The territory was completely transformed by the planting of a 8 hectare of vineyard, the restoration of the farmhouse and the building of a modern wine cellar. The altitude of the estate (it faces southeast) is between 200 and 300 meters above sea level. The ground essentially consists of sand and it is rich in limestone and stones.
All of our wines offered here have been properly imported, carefully handled, and are available for immediate shipment directly from our U.S. stocks. We hope you enjoy our wines!
